Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most widely used psychotherapy approaches today. It consists of structured sessions and has been proven effective through scientific research. This approach is based on the reciprocal interaction between emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and it assumes that psychological difficulties arise from dysfunctional patterns among these three areas.

According to CBT, situations that cause distress are often rooted in dysfunctional thoughts that develop automatically and outside of conscious awareness. The therapy process aims to help individuals recognize these automatic thoughts, question them, and restructure them into more realistic and functional alternatives. Drawing from learning theories, this approach not only seeks to reduce current symptoms but also to promote long term and lasting change by helping individuals develop new coping skills.

The CBT process is carried out through active collaboration between the client and the therapist. The client is not a passive recipient of a treatment being applied to them, but an active, participatory, and guiding part of the process. Therapy progresses in line with goals determined together during sessions. Meetings are structured, systematic, and planned. This structure ensures that therapy is both transparent and trackable.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a flexible approach that can be effectively applied across many different psychological areas. The goal is to support individuals in developing healthier patterns of thinking and behavior, thereby fostering a more functional, balanced, and sustainable sense of well being in daily life.

At our center, CBT sessions are conducted either face to face or online.
